Contractors for Kids

Our Commitment to Community

At Stalco Construction, we believe that building great structures means also supporting the people who live and work within our communities. That’s why we are proud to partner with Contractors for Kids (CFK), a Long Island-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit whose mission is to help children and families cope with the financial and emotional hardships brought on by the sickness, injury or loss of a child.

About Contractors for Kids

Through their work, CFK helps ensure that when a child in our community is battling illness, the family’s focus can remain on healing and time together — rather than financial stress.

Founded in 2005 by Stalco Construction leaders Kevin Harney and Alan Nahmias, Contractors for Kids has grown into a community-based charitable organization dedicated to:

Financial Assistance

Providing financial assistance to families whose child is facing serious illness or death.

Supporting household obligations

Such as utilities, transportation, mortgage or rent payments, and medical bills that may not be covered by insurance.

Bringing Everyone together

Contractors, tradespeople, businesses and community members under the ethos: “We are all Contractors for Kids.”

Why Stalco Construction Supports CFK

As a locally rooted construction firm on Long Island, we at Stalco understand that our success hinges not just on bricks and mortar, but on strong families and healthy neighborhoods. Partnering with CFK aligns with our values because:

THE ORIGINAL FOUNDERS AND MANY OF OUR TEAM MEMBERS HELPED LAUNCH THE ORGANIZATION, MAKING IT A NATURAL EXTENSION OF OUR CULTURE AND LEGACY.

THE MISSION IS HIGHLY FOCUSED ON LOCAL IMPACT — THIS IS ABOUT HELPING FAMILIES RIGHT HERE IN OUR REGION.

IT’S AN OPPORTUNITY FOR LEADERSHIP IN PHILANTHROPY WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION/TRADES COMMUNITY AND DEMONSTRATES THAT BUILDING DOESN’T STOP AT CONSTRUCTION SITES — IT EXTENDS INTO LIVES.

How You Can Help

Led by industry veterans with decades of field experience, Stalco’s team combines technical precision with a client-first mindset. From field superintendents to executive leadership, we build with integrity at every level.
