Stalco Construction, Inc. is a full-service, turn-key general contracting and construction management firm active on Long Island and in the Greater New York area. Established in 1992 and headquartered in Islandia, NY, the firm builds commercial and institutional facilities for office, retail, educational, healthcare, governmental, cultural, and religious clients.
New York Construction magazine has ranked Stalco as one of the 100 largest construction firms in the NY/NJ/CT Tri-state area. Real Estate Weekly also recognized the company as one of the Greater New York area’s top builders. Stalco’s personnel include professional engineers, architects, project managers, superintendents, and support staff. The value of the firm’s on-going ground-up, interior, and capital improvement projects exceeds $80 million.

The firm is a national member of the U.S. Green Building Council and many of its employees are active in USGBC’s New York City and Long Island chapters. Stalco employs LEED-certified project managers and has implemented a company-wide recycling program for waste and demolition debris. Its headquarters building incorporates numerous Green features.
Since the firm’s inception, its leadership and employees have been involved in supporting the local community through responsible corporate citizenship and charity work. The company’s principals, Kevin G. Harney and Alan Nahmias, co-founded Contractors For Kids (CFK), a not-for-profit organization supported by nearly 300 Long Island-based construction and real estate organizations. CFK provides assistance to children and their families impacted by health-related crisis. |
